Limited Edition Collector’s Set
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT · ART DIRECTION · EDITORIAL CURATION · PACKAGING & CONTENT DESIGN · COLLECTOR EXPERIENCE STRATEGY
CHALLENGE
The objective was to reactivate the Swatch archive of iconic artist collaborations in a way that felt desirable to contemporary collectors and fans around the globe, without reducing the brand’s heritage to nostalgia or retrospective storytelling.
The challenge was to translate a rich cultural legacy from the 1990s and early 2000s - when Swatch operated at the intersection of wearable art and pop culture - into a modern collectible experience that could resonate with both long-time enthusiasts and a new generation of design-aware audiences.
APPROACH
Creative Direction and Concept Development focused on reframing Swatch’s archival collaborations as an active cultural system rather than historical reference.
The project curated a selection of the brand’s most iconic artist partnerships into a layered experience spanning a printed editorial catalogue, exclusive digital content, and gated access to a limited-edition watch and accompanying artwork.
The narrative positioned nostalgia as continuity, linking past creative experimentation to present-day cultural relevance, treating the collection as both object & archive.
IMPACT
Strengthened engagement with Swatch enthusiasts while re-establishing the brand’s legacy at the intersection of art, design, and pop culture.
Renewed desirability around archival collaborations by reframing them as collectible cultural assets rather than retrospective artifacts.
Across touchpoints, the work reinforced Swatch’s ability to activate its heritage in a way that feels current, collectible, and culturally relevant.
