Identity, Concept & Design for the promotional ecosystem surrounding the exclusive Montréal performance of Krzysztof Penderecki’s Cello Concerto, anchored by a limited-edition book conceived as a cultural artifact rather than a traditional program.
The creative insight drew from the tension at the heart of Penderecki’s work — rigor and dissonance balanced with deep emotional gravity — translating his avant-garde legacy into a contemporary visual language that feels cinematic and timeless.
The book curated archival recordings spanning 1961 to 2008 alongside biographical fragments, personal notes, and photography, inviting audiences into a more intimate relationship with the composer beyond the concert hall. Across print and promotional touchpoints, the work positioned Penderecki not only as a classical master, but as a cross-cultural figure whose influence continues to resonate in modern cinema and experimental music culture, bridging heritage and relevance with a distinct sensibility.
